The kids in our Kaliyeka Township Chifundo program are enjoying learning the art of photography. Their teacher, photographer Daniel Phiri, works with the children two days each month, showing them how to get around their cameras, compose a photo and most importantly, to see the world around them. They enjoy capturing the daily activities of their friends and families even as they discover the beauty in the colors, textures and patterns of Malawi. Soon Daniel will send us their work on a regular basis, but here are a few photos taken by the kids shortly after they received their new cameras. We look forward to their future work!
