Response to our newest album, Terrible Beauty, has been overwhelmingly positive. If you don’t own a copy yet you can purchase it on our website or download it on iTunes or Amazon. For those of you have not heard any of the new tracks, an album preview is available on youtube.
Also, many thanks to everyone who participated in and attended our Terrible Beauty benefit concert in April. Thanks for supporting the work of Ancient Path, for purchasing the albums and African merchandise. It was an encouraging night! We’ve been asked to do it again next Lenten season – what do you think?
In related news, Mackenzie Clevenger Valley of Without Words Movement recently choreographed one of the tracks from Terrible Beauty entitled Wild Lament. At the end of last month, Mackenzie and Mikaela Clark performed this new work at Hedge Gallery, 78th Street Studios as part of their show, Then Comes Life. The piece is stunning, to say the least; we look forward to having a video to share soon!
Meanwhile, construction continues on our new recording studio on Fulton Road. Good progress is being made and we expect to have the studio up and running by mid-July. The studio will soon be used to produce projects for local musicians as well as for our own Ancient Path albums. Incidentally, we do have another Ancient Path album in the works – the Come to the Waters sequel that so many have asked for. We hope to complete that project late fall to have available for Christmas!
