Film Night at Ancient Path

Do you love to watch a good film and talk about it with friends? On Friday, March 22nd,  we’re hosting our first film night at Ancient Path featuring The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. This just-released, critically-acclaimed movie is based on the true story of 13-year-old William Kamkwamba who, inspired by a science book, builds a wind turbine from junkyard scraps to save his Malawian village from famine.  AP Board treasurer Martin M’Tambo, who was born in Zambia and raised in Malawi, will be on hand for the post-movie discussion.

Hopefully, many of you who have traveled to Malawi with AP will join us and add to the conversation. The movie was actually filmed in Malawi so it’s certain to bring back some great memories!

We’ll provide popcorn and something to drink, but feel free to bring a snack to share. (And don’t forget your favorite blanket!)

Date & Time: Friday March 22nd at 7 pm
Location: Ancient Path Office  – 3389 Fulton Road (2nd floor of the FMC school building)

P.S. We plan to host a film night every couple of months and have already chosen our movie for May: Kinshasa Symphony.
Look forward to it!
