For the past several weeks, Ancient Path team members have been hard at work with the high school choir students at Christian Community School in North Eaton, Ohio. Together we are staging The Story of Love – an original hour-long production originally written to share the story of the gospel in orphanages, churches, remote African villages and refugee camps.
Adaptable to any culture, it has traveled further afield in Europe and the inner city streets and churches in the US. In addition, an expanded version – a 2 hour stage musical entitled One Story – was produced in 2006 and 2007 here in the Cleveland, Ohio area.
But now we have ventured into a school setting – with tight schedules and ringing bells and tardy slips! Every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday morning the students meet for 40 minute classes to learn music and staging. Every Wednesday afternoon, we meet for 2 hours to put together the larger scenes. It’s a daunting task in the time frames available but the students are up to it – and working hard!
The Story of Love will be performed on Monday night May 23rd at Christian Community School. Mark the date on your calendar and come out to encourage these budding performing artists! Many thanks to Headmaster Rick Willis and the dedicated teachers at CCS for your help and support!!
